Joolies is an organic Medjool date brand founded by a family of multigenerational farmers who wanted to bring their dates to the masses. In addition to boasting the best dates found anywhere, both the branding and packaging sport fun designs that are as clever as they are thoughtful.

In addition to designing a sleek and playful custom Shopify site, we wrote tongue-in-cheek copy to complement hip, California-inspired product photography, which we also shot in our studio. The end result was a top-shelf site that is functional on any device, easy to navigate, and pretty to boot!

Before Joolies, dates were rarely mistaken as the life of the party. One of our goals was to help change that. Our Shopify-savvy web team designed and developed an ecommerce solution that manages to tell Joolies’ story, communicate their wholesale program, and guide users to checkout directly on the site or on their Amazon shop all while honoring the brand foundations.

Our objective for the product photography was to capture photos that would help elevate the site and showcase the premium quality of the dates as well as the packaging. To accomplish this, our photographers fully immersed themselves in this project; they made gifs that communicated the innovation behind the matchbox style packaging, used branding elements such as palm leaves and strawberries, and got some mouthwatering shots of date syrup dripping down pancakes.
